Overview

Our Yellow Jackets & Green Gators classrooms

We offer 2, 3, and 5-day program options. Our classes provide play-based environments designed to get students ready for school. Each class has 18 students and two teachers, focusing on classroom and community activities that encourage creativity, independence, and relationships.

Most classes, except on special days, typically include:

Free Play: Various activities focusing on creativity and imagination, like arts, science experiments, woodworking, block building, and cooking all focused on a weekly theme.
Snack Time: A chance for kids to try new foods while cooking with the assistant teacher, involving tasks like pouring, stirring, chopping, and measuring.
Group Activities: Children gather to look at books, listen to stories, sing, dance, and participate in show and tell.
Outdoor Play: In all weather, kids play outside, engaging in climbing, running, sledding, or playing in the sand or snow.
Indoor Activities: When outside play isn't possible, kids use the church's social hall for games, dance, and other large motor activities.
Lunch: A chance to engage socially with their peers over food, while enjoying the lunch packed by their caregivers.

Daily Schedule

8:30 am - 9:30 am
The early birds teacher will walk yous child to class at the start of the school day!
Supervised free play time with a limited number of spots offered Monday through Friday.
$35 per morning per month.

Early Birds

12:45 pm - 3:00 pm
Following the end of the school day at 12:45, students are walked to the Late Bugs classroom.
Supervised free play and one snack time build into the afternoon. Children play both outside and inside during this time. There are a limited number of spots daily. This program is offered Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday afternoons. Days may change based on desired participation.
$70 per afternoon per month.

Teaching Team

Tami White

I have a BS in Education from MSU. I have taught in the RR YJ and BB rooms. Now teach GG with Amber. Married to Nick and have 3 grown children who all attended WPS as did I. Now my grandson Zay will be a RR and granddaughter Averie will attend in a few years.
Amber Wilkinson

I have a BA in History with a Health Education minor. My husband Mike and I both graduated from MSU. I am a WPS, BHS and MSU graduate, and love living with our 3 boys in Bozeman.
Liz Mackie

I was born and raised in Bozeman and have over 19 years of experience in early childhood development. Both my children and now my grandchildren have attended Wilson preschool. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending quality time with my family.
Crystal Boxwell

’m a fourth-generation Montanan, and I earned my BS in Business from MSU, where I also met my husband. We’ve been happily married for 26 years and have two wonderful boys, both currently attending Montana State University. Both of my boys previously attended WPS. When I’m not at school, you’ll likely find me exploring the outdoors.
